Drywall Repairs
Holes, cracks, dents, and damage patched and blended so the wall reads as one continuous surface.
- Hole and crack repair
- Patch and blend to existing texture
- Nail pops and seam cracks
Holes, settling cracks, water-stained ceilings, and texture that has to match. We repair drywall across Katy and the master-planned communities west of Houston so the patch disappears under paint.

Drywall repair in Katy has a particular flavor, because so much of Katy is newer construction sitting on the same expansive clay soil as the rest of the metro. New homes settle, and the first couple of years is exactly when cracks show up over doorframes and nail pops appear on ceilings. That is normal, it is fixable, and it does not mean the house is falling apart. We handle it across Cinco Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, and the rest of Katy.
The goal never changes: the patch should be the part you can not find. More than ten years in and over 4,300 jobs done, with a flat price in writing before any work starts. Tell us what the wall is doing and you will get a straight answer, usually within a day.
Katy has experienced massive residential growth over the last two decades. Fast construction schedules mean the framing lumber in new homes often contains residual moisture when the drywall goes up. As that wood dries and the heavy house settles into the prairie soil, the framing twists slightly.
This process pushes the drywall fasteners outward, creating circular bulges known as nail pops. It also causes straight-line cracks along the seams where two sheets of drywall meet. We fix nail pops by driving new screws into the studs, removing the old fasteners, and floating the wall smooth.
Katy also has a history of severe rain events, particularly near the Barker-Addicks watersheds. If your drywall absorbs floodwater and remains wet for more than 48 hours, it must be cut out and replaced to prevent mold.

Questions
It depends on the size, whether the board has to be replaced, and how much texture matching the wall needs. As a typical Houston range, a small patch runs about $275 to $350 and a service visit starts around $175 to $225, with additional small patches bundled cheaper on the same trip. You get a flat number in writing before any work starts.
New homes do the majority of their settling in the first few years. As the framing lumber dries out and the foundation settles into the soil, the movement forces drywall nails or screws to push through the tape and mud. We repair these in batches of ten for $250 to $325.
Yes. We replace water-damaged drywall, but the source of the water must be stopped first. If the drywall has been wet for more than 48 hours, it must be removed. Cutting out and replacing a 4x8 sheet of water-damaged drywall costs $600 to $825.
A medium wall patch between 4 and 12 inches costs $350 to $450. This covers the cutting, backing, taping, mudding, and texture matching. We provide flat pricing in writing before any work begins.
It is the clay soil. Katy is built on expansive gumbo that swells and shrinks with the wet and dry seasons, so the slab moves and the framing moves with it. New homes do most of their settling in the first few years, which is when you see cracks over doors and nail pops on ceilings. The fix is to repair them correctly, with tape that spans the movement, not just a smear of filler.
Yes. Sheetrock is a brand name that Houston, like most of Texas, uses for all gypsum board. Sheetrock repair and drywall repair are the same job, and we do both, by either name.
We usually call back within a day and can often start within a day or two, but we do not offer emergency same-day work. If you have a water emergency, stop the water first with the shut-off or a plumber, then call us for the drywall once it has dried out.
