Drywall Repairs
Holes, cracks, dents, and damage patched and blended so the wall reads as one continuous surface.
- Hole and crack repair
- Patch and blend to existing texture
- Nail pops and seam cracks
Holes, cracks, water-stained ceilings, and texture that has to match. We patch sheetrock across Greater Houston so the repair disappears the moment it is painted.

Sheetrock repair in Houston comes down to one thing: the patch should be the part you can not find. Anyone can fill a hole. Blending the texture so the repair vanishes under paint is the actual trade, and it is the step that separates a clean Houston sheetrock repair from an obvious patch. We handle holes, doorknob dings, settling cracks, nail pops, water-damaged ceilings, and full sheet replacements across the metro.
More than ten years in and over 4,300 jobs done, with a quote that is flat, all-in, and in writing before any work starts. Tell us what the wall is doing and you will get a straight answer and a fair price, usually within a day.
Houston is built on expansive gumbo clay. This soil swells during our wet seasons and shrinks during summer droughts. That movement transfers directly to your concrete slab. When the foundation shifts, the rigid drywall inside your house has to give.
This is why you see diagonal cracks forming above your doorframes and stress fractures in your corners. Running a soaker hose around your foundation during a drought is the cheapest crack prevention available. When the cracks do appear, we cut out the damaged seams, re-tape, and apply new mud.
We also see a high volume of failing ceiling patches from the February 2021 freeze. Many burst pipes were patched quickly with the wrong mud or no primer. Those patches are peeling now. We remove the failing material and do it right.

Questions
It depends on the size, whether the board has to be replaced, and how much texture matching the wall needs. As a typical Houston range, a small patch runs about $275 to $350 and a service visit starts around $175 to $225, with additional small patches bundled cheaper on the same trip. Yes. Sheetrock is a brand name that Houston, like most of Texas, uses for all gypsum board. Sheetrock repair and drywall repair are the same job, and we do both, by either name.
We usually call back within a day and can often start within a day or two, but we do not offer emergency same-day work. If you have a water emergency, stop the water first with the shut-off or a plumber, then call us for the drywall once it has dried out.
Expansive clay soil causes your foundation to shift between wet and dry seasons. The framing moves, and the drywall cracks at the weakest points, which are the corners of doors and windows. We repair the crack by re-taping the seam, but foundation watering is required to stop the cycle.
Yes. Many pre-1960 homes in the Heights and East End use plaster-and-lath construction rather than modern drywall. A standard gypsum patch applied to old plaster will fail. We use specific bonding agents and setting-type compounds to properly repair historic plaster walls.
A ceiling patch up to 2 square feet costs $425 to $525. Summer ceiling stains are usually caused by a clogged attic AC condensate line or an overflowing drain pan. You must have an HVAC technician clear the line and make sure the drywall is completely dry before we patch it.
Texas does not license drywall or sheetrock contractors, so the word 'licensed' on a truck means very little here. What actually matters is the finish work and whether the person is honest with you. We would rather earn it on the wall than on a paper card.
